Jacob & Marcus Wallenberg honoured for
strengthening Sweden's global ties

Jacob Wallenberg and Marcus Wallenberg have been awarded Svenskar i Världen's Hederspris 2026, recognizing their long-standing efforts to strengthen Sweden's international relations, competitiveness and global reputation.

The prize was announced on 24 August at a high-level seminar in Stockholm focused on Sweden's support for Ukraine, held in connection with Jacob Wallenberg's 70th birthday.

They were honored as two joint recipients for consistently acting in Sweden's long-term interest: building strong international networks, practicing sustainable, long-term corporate ownership, and engaging deeply in society. Over the years, this work has helped connect Sweden with the rest of the world and boosted Swedish exports, research, innovation and global collaboration.

SVIV Chairman Magnus Brännström noted that their efforts have strengthened Swedish companies' international competitiveness, while Jacob Wallenberg pointed to free trade and global cooperation as vital for a small, export-dependent country, and Marcus Wallenberg emphasized the importance of continuing to learn from and collaborate with the outside world to keep Sweden competitive.

Team Sweden's 2026 Business
Climate Survey Netherlands

Together with the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden, we released the Dutch results of the 2026 Business Climate Survey during the Annual General Meeting on 5 June. 52 Swedish companies operating in the country responded this year.

The survey shows that Swedish companies in the Netherlands remain resilient despite growing uncertainty, with most reporting profitability and positive expectations for the year ahead.

Cooperation between Sweden and the Netherlands continues to deepen in logistics, clean energy, infrastructure, mobility, digital services, life sciences and advanced industry. At the same time, companies flagged labour shortages, regulatory complexity and infrastructure constraints as ongoing challenges.

The Swedish brand remains strongly linked to quality, reliability and sustainability in the Dutch market.

We want to thank all our members for your contribution.

Saab signs long-term agreement for camouflage systems with the Netherlands

Patron Member Saab, the Swedish defence and security company, has signed a long-term agreement with the Netherlands Ministry of Defence to supply its Barracuda Mobile Camouflage System, with a first order already received.

Henning Robach, head of Saab's Barracuda business unit, says the system helps protect Dutch army vehicles from detection across the modern sensor spectrum, strengthening survivability and mobility on the battlefield.

The initial order covers the army's existing Fennek and Panzerhaubitz vehicles, with options to equip additional vehicle types in the future. The system is tailor-made for different environments, offering woodland, urban, and arctic camouflage patterns.
