Sweden's new AI strategy unveiled

The Swedish Government has launched a new national AI strategy aimed at positioning Sweden among the world’s top 10 countries in artificial intelligence. The strategy focuses on creating more effective government services, clearer regulations for businesses, and improved conditions for research and innovation.

For the first time, Sweden is taking a holistic approach to AI, coordinating efforts across public agencies, the business sector, and research institutions to fully harness the potential of the technology. The strategy emphasises responsible and secure AI development while promoting stable international rules and frameworks, and by combining innovation with responsibility, Sweden aims to strengthen its position as a global leader in AI.

The Swedish Chamber is honoured to have one of Sweden's largest and most influential banks, SEB, join our Swedish-Dutch Business Community as our newest Patron Member.

The move is part of SEB’s geographical expansion strategy, which began in 2021, focusing on Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The aim is to deepen relationships with existing clients and attract new ones in the Dutch market.

SEB has already built relationships with several well-known companies in the Netherlands. The bank’s model of long-term client partnerships has proven successful in markets with similar characteristics.

We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with SEB and to introducing them to our Swedish–Dutch business community.

Sweden as an attractive career destination for international top talent

A new Swedish Institute study finds Sweden ranks among the world’s most attractive countries for STEM professionals.

Key strengths include work-life balance, career development, family-friendliness, safety, and access to healthcare. Life sciences, healthcare, and green technology are the sectors most associated with Sweden.

Despite its strong appeal, global awareness of Sweden as a career destination remains limited. Efforts are ongoing to increase visibility through digital campaigns, recruitment events, and collaboration with Swedish embassies and companies.

The Swedish Chamber is honoured to have Bjorn Lunden join our Swedish-Dutch Business Community as our newest Member.

Bjorn Lunden is an international SaaS company that simplifies Business Administration for small and medium-sized enterprises through smart and efficient digital solutions. With operations in Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands, they are building a strong presence in Northwestern Europe. Combining local roots with international strength, they create solutions that help businesses grow, without unnecessary hassle.

We are looking forward to future collaboration and to introducing Bjorn Lunden to our Swedish-Dutch business community!

Einar & Partners helped Scania transition from a legacy monitoring landscape to ServiceNow Event Management

After a year of focused collaboration, Swedish Chamber Patron Member Scania successfully transitioned from a legacy monitoring landscape to ServiceNow Event Management with the support of Swedish Chamber Member and Business Award 2025 winner Einar & Partners.

The goal was not only to replace outdated tools but to modernise how monitoring, alerting, and operations work together. The transformation replaced ten years of IBM Tivoli monitoring, including around 3,000 custom rules, with a standardised event flow model. More than 300 application teams were trained on modern alert and event management practices, leading to a 50% reduction in monitoring-related incidents through cleaner event correlation and processes.
