Population of the Netherlands reaches 18 million

The Netherlands has officially surpassed 18 million residents, achieving this milestone just eight years after reaching 17 million in 2016. This recent growth, largely driven by net migration, contrasts with the slower expansion from 16 to 17 million, which took 15 years. Currently, the population is increasing by an average of 120,000 people per year, compared to the 66,000 per year during the previous period. 

   
   
   

Vattenfall InCharge wins European tender to install 22,000 charging points in the Netherlands

Vattenfall InCharge will install 22,000 new charging points in Brabant and Limburg, expanding its network to 59,000. This move, part of a recent European tender win, aims to boost grid stability and sustainable electricity use.
